The entry-level Astral variant is priced at Rs 3.48 lakh and will be available in three single-tone colours – black, blue and green. The mid-variant interstellar commands a Rs 15,000 premium over the Astral variant and comes with two dual-tone colours – grey and green. Top-of-the-line Celestial variant is priced at Rs 3.78 lakh and this gets a windscreen, deluxe touring seat and pillion backrest and is offered in two dual-tone colours – red and blue.
Royal Enfield is also offering two GMA (Genuine Motorcycle Accessory) ‘themes’. The first theme is called Grand Tourer, and this theme gets accessories such as hard panniers, LED fog lights, a touring handlebar and comprehensive crash protection. Talking about the Solo Tourer theme this gets an ornamental plate, bar-end mirrors, a sump guard and accessory footpegs.
The Super Meteor 650 is a bike based on the 650cc platform and shares its underpinnings with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. In terms of features, the bike gets a circular LED headlamp and a windscreen, and Royal Enfield’s Tripper Navigation system is integrated into a twin-pod instrument console. It offers Bluetooth connectivity and a USB charging port as well.
The Super meteor is powered by a 648cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 47 bhp of power and 52 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield claims that the Super Meteor 650 offers 80 per cent of peak torque at just 2,500 rpm. Dimensionally, the new RE 650cc cruiser measures 2260mm in length, 890mm in width and 1155mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1500mm and a ground clearance of 135mm. The bike offers a seat height of 740mm.
